The office of the Kaduna State Auditor-General has restated its commitment to strengthening the mandate of the office in tracking and ensuring that public funds are utilized effectively.
The State Auditor-General, Abubakar Abdullahi made the promise during the 2025 draft budget defense before the Kaduna State House of Assembly Public Account Committee.
Defending the 2025 budget estimate of sixty million naira before the committee, Abubakar Abdullai expressed optimism that when approved, the budget will help keep in tune with the trend of carrying out special audits.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Abubakar Abdullahi appreciated the Public Account Committee for working harmoniously with the Auditor-General’s office in ensuring accountability and transparency in public funds spending.
The Auditor-General assured that the Kaduna State Government has embarked on various developmental projects across the state, noting that the office will continue to devise means of ensuring accountability through effective auditing.
Abubakar Abdullahi called on the Kaduna State House of Assembly through the Public Account Committee to continue giving the Auditor General’s Office the needed support in the execution of its mandate.
