The Nigeria Police Force has reiterated it's commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s cybersecurity resilience.

Director, National Cybercrime Center of the Nigeria Police Force, CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, stated this while delivering Keynote Lecture at SmartComply Compliance & Cybersecurity Breakfast Session in Lagos.

In a statement by the Public Relations Liaison Officer of the Nigeria Police, DSP Kuru O. Augustina, CP Henry emphasized the importance of leveraging innovation and strategic collaboration in the fight against cybercrime in the country.

While commending SmartComply for organizing the event which convened key stakeholders from the digital economy and cybersecurity sectors, CP Uche said the law enforcement agencies has a critical role to play in addressing cybersecurity threats and financial crimes in Nigeria. 

He outlined challenges faced by the security agencies to include rapidly evolving cyber threats and limited resources. 

The Director, who received an Award of Excellence at the event also stressed the need for a robust collaboration among stakeholders to tackle data breaches and cyber attacks.
