NAF outreach

In an effort to support it's retired personnel, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has organized a Veterans Outreach Programme in Kaduna.

This initiative is part of the lead-up to the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day which will hold on the 15th of this month.

The programme featured lectures on life skills and free medical services, health support talks, and interactive sessions between veterans and the current NAF leadership.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, who was represented by the chief of administration NAF, Air Vice Marshal I. Sani, emphasized that the outreach was designed to boost veterans' morale, provide them with a sense of belonging, and address challenges related to retirees' welfare.

The command admin officer, Wing Commander Okwudiri Augistine,  highlighted the immeasurable value of the veterans' service, stating that no compensation could adequately reward their contributions to the nation.

He noted that the outreach allowed for medical check-ups and facilitated discussions to leverage the veterans' wealth of experience for the benefit of the NAF and the country.
