Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, has called on the federal government to provide additional reinforcements to combat the ongoing security crisis in the state.
Governor
Radda made the call following his visit to Wurma and Birci communities due to
the devastating menace of bandits in the area lately.
Chief
Press Secretary to the governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed revealed this in a
statement in Katsina.
It said
the Katsina state Governor stressed the urgent need for reinforcements to
effectively combat the banditry issue plaguing the state and region.
The
statement said the governor, accompanied by senior officials, toured the
affected area and offered condolences to the victims’ families, and appealed
for peace and unity within the communities, urging residents to collaborate
with security forces to overcome the security crisis.
