FRSC gets new helmsman


President Bola Tinubu has appointed Shehu Mohammed as the new Corps Marshal/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Mohammed, an Assistant Corps Marshal, replaces Dauda Biu, who was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2022.

Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Segun Imohiosen, who disclosed this in a statement  said Mohammed’s appointment, which was for an initial period of four years, took effect from May 20, 2024.

According to the statement, the appointment is in line with the  provisions of the Act establishing the Commission.

It said President Tinubu tasks the appointee to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new assignment.
