Gov Uba performs groundbreaking for Panteka market upgrade


Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has performed the groundbreaking for the remodelling of Old Panteka Market in Kaduna South Local Government area.

Speaking at the event, the Governor said the project which comprises the construction of roads, ICT center, clinic and fire service station among others is part of his administration's drive to empower youths with skills to make them self-reliant.

He said the market, which houses about thirty-eight thousand artisans working everyday serves as a technology hub in northern Nigeria where amazing products are being produced for both domestic and international use.

Earlier, in a remark, the Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education, Professor Idris Babuje, described the event as a significant move towards empowering the teeming youths in the market who are known for hardwork, resilience and creativity.

Meanwhile, Governor Uba Sani has equally performed the groundbreaking for the reconstruction of of 1.4 kilometer water intake road from Patrick Yakowa Way to Maigero Junction and the Upgrading maintenance of 3.15 kilometer Maigero-Narayi Junction Road in Chikun Local Government area.
