Kaduna state government has reassured citizens of the state of their safety and security for the socio-economic development of the state.
The Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Usman Hayatu Mazadu, made this known at a stakeholder’s engagement meeting with the vice chairmen of the twenty-three local government areas of the state.
He said the agency is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of lives and property of the people, hence the need to brainstorm with the stakeholders on how to curtail flooding and fire out breaks among other disasters.
Dr Mazadu reemphasized the state government commitment towards bringing to minimal issues of fire outbreaks in the state, by providing firefighting machines and form chemicals to curtail fire incidents.
Also, the Kaduna State Comptroller, Fire Service, Mr. Paul Philip Aboi, said measures have been put in place to avoid any fire disaster occurrences.
Some stakeholders at the event who were selected from the three zones, described the event as apt as it will help proffer preventative measures to the many disasters that residents are prone to.
