Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has said that his administration's sustained efforts towards attracting investments in the mining sector are beginning to bear fruits.
This is as arrangements are in top gear for the commissioning of the gigantic new Lithium Processing Plant in Kaduna, a partnership between the Kaduna State Government and Ming Xin Mineral Separation Nigeria Ltd.
The governor stated this while hosting the Management of the Chinese mining firm, Ming Xin Mineral Separation Nigeria Ltd led by its Executive Director, Business Development, Ms Leana Lee, at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House to brief him on preparations for the commissioning.
The completed processing plant which is Phase 1 of the project has initial capacity of 1500 metric tonnes per day will be doubled in Phase 2 of the project.
In a remarks, Governor Uba Sani urged the Chinese firm to prioritize environmental protection and recovery to ensure safety of those living in the host community.
He also highlighted the importance of community engagement, local content, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the course of their mining activities.
