With the on going plan by the Dangote Refinery, Nigeria will not need to import gasoline by June, this year.
Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, stated this while speaking at the Africa CEO Forum Annual Summit in Kigali, he said the refinery had started supplying diesel and aviation fuel in Nigeria.
According to him, the refinery has the capacity to meet the diesel and petrol needs of West Africa and the aviation fuel demand of the entire African continent.
The business mogul added that in the next three of four years, Africa will not import any more fertilizer from anywhere as the company will make Africa self-sufficient in potash, phosphate, and urea.
He hinted that the company is currently at three million tonnes and in the next twenty months, will be at six million tonnes of urea which is the entire capacity of Egypt.
Dangote further added that the refinery is the panacea to Africa's problems as it will creat employment opportunities and put an end to the issue of petroleum products importation which he said only Libya and Algeria are exempted from in the whole of Africa.
