The Nigeria Police Force has said that plans are underway to address the dilapidated state of its barracks in the country.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this known on X (formerly Twitter).
Plans to repair the barracks were made known by the FPRO after a user, @chiditweets042 shared a distasteful photo of the run-down Police Barracks in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Adejobi in response to the tweet made it known that the force has begun the process of addressing the current state of dilapidated barracks across the country.
He said the process of relocating personnel is ongoing so that work on the barrack can commence as soon as possible, adding that the IGP has organised the first-ever Nigeria Police Housing Summit recently with a view to tackling these problems across the country.
