KADSUBEB moves to address out of school children challenge


Over one thousand out of school children have received a ray of hope for a better education in Farar Kasa, a hard-to-reach community in Soba Local government area.

This is as the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, KADSUBEB with support from the United Nations Children's fund, UNICEF intervened to construct a new primary school in the area.

The Chairman of KADSUBEB, Tijjani Abdullahi said arrangements have been made to deploy adequate and qualified teachers to the school.

Earlier, the chief field office, UNICEF Kaduna, Dr. Gerida Birikula noted that the gesture will address the challenge of distance of over ten kilometers which prevented children from going to school.

While urgening parents to enroll their children, Birikula also called on the community to take ownership of the school when constructed.

Also speaking, the Chairman Soba Local Government Area, Abdulmumini Bawa Gamagira promised to provide all necessary support needed for the realization of the initiative.

Commenting, the district head of Maigana, Muhammad Lawal Zailani commended UNICEF and the Kaduna State Government for the giant stride.
