To reduce the cost of education among its students, the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board has continued its physical verification exercise in various institutions across the country.
This followed the launch of the return of the physical verification exercise in Bayero University, Kano by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Professor Yahaya Saleh Ibrahim.
Speaking at the exercise, Professor Saleh said the Kaduna State students have been experiencing difficulty in applying and getting verified via the portal, hence the need to come down and physically register and verify the state indigenes students for the state's scholarship scheme.
The Executive Secretary said the board has also proposed to the Kaduna State Government to give loans to students who after graduation find it difficult to pursue their career.
Speaking on behalf of the students, the Kaduna State student union president, Bayero University Kano, Abdullahi Usman Baba expressed appreciation to the board for offering them the opportunity.
