The Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC said it is set to unveil twelve new Model Smart Schools nationwide.
Executive secretary of the commission, Dr Hamid Bobboyi stated this during an interactive session with stakeholders of the UBEC Smart Schools in Abuja.
Represented by the national coordinator of the UBEC Digital Resource Center, Professor Bashir Galadanci, Bobboyi underscored the significance of the meeting which primarily focused on the proposed take-off of 12 new smart schools by September 2024.
He said the initiative will have significant impact on the education sector, while expressing optimism for a fruitful dialogue among stakeholders at all levels.
In a remark, the head of the capacity development unit of the UBEC Digital Resource Center, Dr Hafsat Lawal Kontagora, articulated the aspirations of UBEC towards revolutionising the basic education sector.
