President Bola Tinubu has expressed joy over the successful operations against security threats in the north-west by troops of the Nigerian military.
The President said the success of the operations give further assurance that Nigerian security operatives are up to the task of ensuring the peace and security of the nation.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, who revealed this in a statement explained that the successful operations followed the President’s directive to the service chiefs to relocate to the zone until normalcy is restored.
It said troops of Operation Hadarin Daji, have neutralized a wanted bandit leader, Halilu Sububu, who has been unleashing terror on citizens in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other parts of north-western Nigeria.
The statement added that the troops also killed another terrorist, Sani Wala Burki, in a joint operation in Katsina and dislodged a terrorist enclave in Kaduna, where thirteen kidnapped students were freed.
The President reassured security agencies of his continued support in keeping the nation safe and secure.
