Troops of Sector four of Operation Whirl Punch of the Nigerian Army have rescued thirteen hostages from a kidnappers’ den in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who revealed this said the hostages were rescued by the troops following a credible intelligence report.
He said the rescued hostages from the bandit’s camp include six men and seven women, while the troops also destroyed the camp and recovered one AK-47 rifle, one locally made riffle, four AK-47 magazines, eighty-seven rounds of 7.62millimetre ammunition, and over one hundred thousand naira among others.
Responding to the development, the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, expressed happiness with the report, and praised the swift response of the troops.
