The federal government has commissioned a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion centre in Kura Local Government Area of Kano State.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Director General and Chief Executive of the National Automotive Design and Development Council, Mr Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, said the establishment of the centre would enhance CNG conversion and provide training for auto mechanics in the conversion process.

He noted that out of twenty-one CNG conversion centres planned across the country, 15 have been fully equipped, with the remaining centres expected to be completed soon.

The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr Doris Uzoka Anite, described the establishment of CNG conversion centres across the country as a testament to President Tinubu’s dedication to alleviating the challenges faced by Nigerians due to fuel subsidy removal.
