Kaduna State House of Assembly debunks alleged amendment of State’s Electoral Law

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has debunked the allegation by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the state that the tenth Kaduna State Assembly is planning to amend the State’s Electoral Law.

Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Non-Governmental Organisations and Development Partners, Marah Henry Zachariah cleared the air during a news briefing at the Assembly Complex.

Marah Zacharia stated that the only amendment done by the tenth Kaduna State Assembly was in July 2024 to address the current challenges ahead of the Local Government elections considering the short notice given to the house.

Speaking further, Zacharia pointed out that as representatives of the people, the assembly united without party barrier for the interest of people of the state.

The tenth Kaduna Assembly Information officer who is also a member of the People’s Democratic Party, called on people in the state to go on with their campaigns peacefully.

Marah Henry Zacharia further restated the tenth Kaduna Assembly’s commitment in ensuring that there is peace in the state in order to drive development across the state.
