Birnin Gwari Emirate council moves to improve security in the area

In a bid to foster peace and security of lives and property of the people, the Birnin Gwari Emirate in conjunction with the local government council has held a meeting with the residents of the Western part of Birnin Gwari.

The meeting which took place at the palace of the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Malam Zubair Jibril Mai Gwari II, followed the formation of a reconciliation committee by the office of the National Security Adviser to end the banditry and kidnappings in the area, state and the North West zone as a whole.

Speaking during the meeting, the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Malam Zubair Jibril Mai Gwari said reconciliation is the only way to end any problem in the society, underscoring the need for people to be united and patient in finding lasting solutions to the problems.

The Emir who thanked the government for the initiative called on the people to continue to pray for their leaders to steer the affairs of the country more effectively.

On his part, the Chairman of the local government, Malam Salisu Isah stressed that the meeting aims to enlighten the people on the development in order to gain their support.

While urging the people to support the initiative, the chairman also commended the federal government and the Kaduna state government including and other critical stakeholders for the gesture.

Commenting on the initiative, the residents assured of their total support to the programme and other government initiatives for peace to reign in the society, urging the federal government to set up a special committee to ascertain the level of damages and losses caused by the unfortunate security challenges in the area.
