Students have been charged to always visit the library to read and make research with a view to improving their educational pursuit.
The Vice Chancellor, Kaduna State University, Professor Abdullahi Musa Soba made the call while speaking during a programme at the National Library of Nigeria held in Kaduna.
The vice chancellor who was represented by a lecturer at KASU, Dr Esther Gani explained that it is only when students embrace the habit of reading and making research that they can achieve their aims in their academic pursuit.
Professor Musa soba said government at all levels are committed to equipping and making libraries conducive for students to read and make research to expand their knowledge.
The curator, National Museum Kaduna State, Elkana Aliyuda Buckly also advised people especially students to always visit historical places like the museums and Arewa House to make research with a view to improving their education.
also speaking, the head of National Library Kaduna state branch, Matina Eguibe said with the development of digitalization the students are not visiting library regularly and urged them to embrace the two to achieve their set objectives.
Matina said the National library established in 1964 have thirty-three states branches in the country designed to preserve and inform decision making.
The participants at the event who are students said with the knowledge they acquired on the importance of visiting libraries and historical places they will embrace the habits of visiting such places.
