Kaduna state house of assembly is set to review laws on care givers to address issues of abuse and human right violations in the state.
Member representing KAURU/Chawai constituency at the Kaduna State House Assembly, Mr. Haruna Barnabas stated this during a care workers summit organized by the Transparency and Accountability in Totality Initiative in Kaduna.
The member who is also the Chairman House Committee on Health, stressed the need for employers of these care workers to ask the important questions of whether they are adequately catered for after delivering their services.
In the same vein, the member representing Zaria Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Education, Barrister Isma'il Mahmud said the house is working towards enacting laws that will mandate employers of caregivers to give them the necessary support as members of our society.
