Bago signs 2025 budget, seeks legislature's monitoring

Niger State Governor, Farmer Umaru Mohammed Bago, has signed the 2025 budget of over N1. 558 trillion into law. 

The governor who signed the budget shortly after the State Assembly approved it, praised the legislators for their quick work, calling it unprecedented and setting a positive example for the nation. 

He emphasized his commitment to working closely with the legislature and encouraged them to monitor the Executive's adherence to the Budget. 

Commenting on the budget, the Speaker of the Niger state House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkin-Daji noted that the swift passage was due to the excellent performance of Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mustapha Ndajiwo, who ensured all processes were followed. 

The Speaker assured of continued cooperation between the legislature and the Executive for the benefit of Niger State.
