In a move to eradicate Polio virus, Chikun local Government Council has donated 100 Vaccines to the health department of the council.
The distribution of the vaccine was made by the Council Chairman, Engineer Salasi Nuhu Musa during the Flag-off Campaign of OBR5 polio Immunization exercise held at the Palace of the Etsu Chikun.
He explained that his administration has given the health sector utmost priority and will ensure that no child is infected by the Polio Virus.
In a remark, the Etsu Chikun, Mr Ishaku Yari who was represented by the Sarkin Fada of the Chiefdom, Mr Samai’la Sarki called on parents to present their children to be immunized against the Virus.
Highlighting the successes recorded during the last round of the Polio immunization, the health secretary of the local government, Mr Amos Sunday commended the Council for their support towards the success of the exercise.
