KADSACA holds HIV/AIDS sensitization for youth in Kaduna

As part of effort to reduce the prevalence of HIV especially among the children and youth, the Kaduna State Aids Control Agency has organized a sensitization meeting with youth in the state.

The meeting is to create awareness on how to protect themselves from contracting the diseases as well as providing essential services to all people living with HIV/AIDS in the state.

In an interview, the Head of Harm Reduction, Kaduna State Aids Control Agency, Dr.  Jerome Victoria said currently, about three million people are living with HIV in Nigeria out of which five-point eight percent are affected in the state.  

She said the meeting is to sensitize the younger ones who are the future leaders to know how to prevent themselves from getting effected.  

Some of the participants who spokes at the event express appreciation for the sensitisation meeting and described it as apt.
