President Bola Tinubu has been urged to reconsider his administration’s approach to the nation’s economy.
In a statement by a Peoples Democratic Party stalwart, Yusuf Dingyadi, Federal Government’s failure to provide basic necessities has increased poverty, hunger, and insecurity across the country.
He accused some members of the National Assembly of abandoning measures to improve the lives of Nigerians, becoming more of a burden on the survival of ordinary citizens.
The opposition party chieftain stressed the need for the government to reassess its approach, as citizens face immense hardship and poverty.
He added that the worsening security situation has significantly impacted food production, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
Dingyadi called on the President to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians amidst the current economic challenges, saying the current system has placed greater suffering and burdens on citizens, with many struggling to make ends meet.
The chieftain called on leaders to demonstrate how things are done so that people can follow and benefit.
