President Bola Tinubu has rejected the initial 3 year timeline proposed by the contracting firm for the completion of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Dual Carriage Way.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this in Tafa, Niger State, during an inspection visit to the project site.
He said the president has directed that the project be reassigned to another contractor with a revised deadline of 14 months for its completion.
The minister noted President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the swift completion of the project, saying the revocation of some sections of the contract previously awarded to the firm is subsequently reassigned to a reputable contractor for timely delivery.
Mohammed Idris added that the project is currently segmented into three sections for ease of work.
