Journalists have been tasked to always be factual and objective in their reportage for socio-economic development.
The principal private secretary to the Kaduna State Governor, Professor Bello Ayuba made the call during a Reception and get-together organized in honor of the new leadership of Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kaduna State chapter.
Represented by his chief of staff, Alhaji Muhammad Garba Waziri, Professor Ayuba described Journalism as a significant profession that serves as mediator between government and masses.
In a remark, the Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki charged the newly elected executives of the Union to Carry every one along in their leadership for the development of the union and the state in general.
Earlier in his welcome address, the new chairman of the Union, Comrade Abdulgaffar Alabelewa expressed his determination to initiate policies that would restore the lost glory of the union.
In their contributions, the chairman, Arewa Youth consultative Forum and the representative of Federal Road safety corps sector commander, Kaduna State command, restated their commitment to support and work with the union.
