In its efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties, the Kaduna State government has unveiled three new roads named after Qatar, its Emir, and Ambassador.
Held at the heart of Kaduna city, the event marks a significant milestone in deepening the relationship between Kaduna state and the Gulf nation.
The newly constructed roads, located off Yakubu Gowon Way, have been named: Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani Road, in honour of Qatar's Emir, Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned Road, honoring the mother of Qatar's Emir, and a third road named after the State of Qatar itself.
Speaking during the ceremony, Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe expressed gratitude for Qatar's longstanding relationship with the State, highlighting their contributions to economic empowerment, healthcare, and other vital sectors.
On his part, the Qatar Ambassador, Dr. Ali Ghanem Al-Hajri thanked the Kaduna State government for the honor, reaffirming Qatar's commitment to continued collaboration with the state.
