The Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Bello Jamoh has underscored the importance of equipping health workers with the right skills.
He made his position known while reacting to the launch of ten thousand professional kits for midwives across the North-West zone by the wife of the president, Senator Remi Tinubu.
Dr Bello Jimoh noted that this is essential to responding to future health crises and preparing the hospitals and health workers for increased use of digital technologies and demographic change.
He said this is also significant to improving the quality of healthcare delivery of patients, and effective diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases.
The Executive Secretary, said the distribution of the professional kits came at the right time, adding that it is apt as it will lead to improved health outcomes and a stronger healthcare system.
Speaking on how the items will be distributed, Dr. Jamoh said the items would be distributed across the twenty-three local government areas of the state.
He said the kits would not be enough hence only staff with excellent performance records would be awarded the items.
