The Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, says Nigeria is becoming a hub for skilled labour sought after globally.
Executive Secretary of TETFund, Mr Sonny Echono, stated this on the sidelines of the annual Newspaper Personality of the Year Awards.
Echono, who attributed the development to the policies of President Bola Tinubu in the education sector, noted that the agency would not relent in the discharge of its assignments and responsibilities.
He said Nigerian graduates have the capacity to compete favourably with their peers globally, pointing to the number of Nigerian youths working for multinational companies across the world.
Echono explained that TETFund have supported over 40,000 people for postgraduate programmes both locally and abroad.
While soliciting the support of management of institutions across the country to ensure seamless execution of projects, the TETfund boss said legacy projects that would change the landscape of Nigeria’s tertiary institutions would be executed by the fund.
